Amelia Chappelow is a seasoned and accomplished transdisciplinary professional, with a background deeply rooted in media and communications, she earned her BA from Australia's Swinburne University of Technology and an Honors Degree from the Royal Melbourne University of Technology.
Amelia's career trajectory includes groundbreaking contributions as one of the first online producers at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Recognized for her innovative approach to audience engagement, she received awards for Emergency Broadcast Coverage & Reporting. Her versatile experience spans across daily news, music, and lifestyle shows with ABC Melbourne, where she played a pivotal role in modernizing live radio production for triple j, Australia's leading youth radio station.
At triple j, Amelia played a vital role in achieving a nationwide 100% audience growth and spearheaded the launch of two digital streaming services, triple j unearthed and Double J, along with their digital communities. She is the creative force behind the Like a Version podcast, the world's most popular cover song performance session, earning acclaim and awards in the Australian music industry. Amelia organized major live broadcast events, demonstrating her strategic prowess outlined in Audience Growth Strategy Paper for the ABC. Additionally, she contributed her expertise as a judge on panels for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Helpmann Theatre Awards, and China’s International Comedy Festival.
